Wade Davis: the richness of the ethnosphere

This TED conference talk from 2003 has some very interesting themes in it about the relationship of culture, language, religion, and artifact (which we could interpret as design). This is also a great excuse to introduce you all to the TED conference talks, which have just recently begun being televised.

Thanks for posting this-- I greatly enjoyed it. Not only did I enjoy Davis as a speaker, I thought many of the points he made were insightful. His storytelling combines theory (e.g. Rousseau), anthropology, hard sciences, history, and humor to spin captivating tales that illustrate worlds that are a marginalized part of the global society and collective thought. I look forward to other posts.
